Milan, 16 January (LaPresse) – Pisa and Atalanta drew 1-1 in the early match of the 21st round of Serie A. A result that is of little use to either team: Atalanta moves up to 32 points, still far from the Champions League zone, while Pisa, with 14 points, is second to last ahead of Verona. The first 45 minutes were exciting at the Arena Garibaldi, with an excellent Pisa side causing serious problems for Atalanta, who have yet to manage a shot on Scuffet's goal. The Tuscan side came close to taking the lead on a couple of occasions through Tourè and Meister. In the second half, Gilardino's team were again the first to threaten with a header from Moreo, but Carnesecchi was alert to make the save. Palladino brought on new signing Raspadori in place of Scamacca, and Atalanta immediately threatened with Scalvini on an assist from De Ketelaere. Scuffet was not caught off guard. Everything happened in the final minutes: in the 83rd minute, Atalanta took the lead with a goal by Krstovic in a scramble. Shortly afterwards, in the 87th minute, Pisa's deserved equaliser came courtesy of new signing Durosinmi, who beat Carnesecchi with a diving header. But that's not all: in stoppage time, Pisa almost completed the comeback with a dangerous scramble in front of Carnesecchi, but no one was able to find the winning touch.
