Milan, 15 January (LaPresse/Ap) – All Blacks coach Scott Robertson has been sacked after just two years of his four-year contract. The news was announced by the New Zealand Rugby Union. Robertson's tenure as coach was controversial even before it really began and led the team to its worst results in the professional era, including last year's defeat against South Africa, the heaviest in the All Blacks' 120-year history. All Blacks captain and World Cup winner David Kirk, who chairs the New Zealand Rugby board, announced Robertson's “departure” in a statement. Among the reasons for his dismissal were the very poor results of the New Zealand national team in the 2025 season and threats of resignation by senior players if he was not removed.
