(LaPresse/AP) – Carlos Alcaraz and Aryna Sabalenka have been officially named seeded players for the Australian Open, the first Grand Slam tournament, which begins on Sunday on the hard courts of Melbourne Park. Today's announcement comes one day before the tournament draw. Two-time defending champion Jannik Sinner is seeded second, followed by Alexander Zverev in third and ten-time champion Novak Djokovic in fourth. Sabalenka, Iga Swiatek and Coco Gauff are the top three seeds in the women's draw for the second consecutive year.
