Rome, 31 December (LaPresse) – The Prefect of Naples, Michele di Bari, has ordered a ban on the sale of tickets to residents of the province of Verona for the Napoli-Hellas Verona football match, valid for the 2025/26 Serie A national championship, scheduled for Wednesday 7 January 2026 at the Maradona stadium in Naples. The measure was adopted by decision no. 46/2025 of the Committee for the Analysis of Safety at Sporting Events, with the approval of the Naples Police Headquarters, which highlighted the high risk to public order and safety associated with the event, attributable to the heated rivalry between the opposing fan bases, which has recently resulted in incidents of violence.
