Rome, Dec. 16 (LaPresse) – Spanish midfielder Aitana Bonmatí has been named The Best Fifa Women’s Player for the third consecutive year. Despite Barcelona and Spain losing in the finals of the UEFA Women’s Champions League and the Women’s Euro respectively, Bonmatí captured the MVP awards in both competitions. The highly talented playmaker was the driving force behind Barça’s domestic treble. The 27-year-old also recently underwent surgery at the beginning of December after suffering a fibula fracture.
