Rome, 3 December (LaPresse) – Olympic champion Gregorio Paltrinieri will be the first torchbearer for the Milan-Cortina torch relay in Rome on Saturday 5 December, following the lighting ceremony at the Quirinale the day before. Among the protagonists of the relay are basketball player Achille Polonara, who is battling leukaemia, and high jumper Gianmarco Tamberi.
