Milan, Nov. 16 (LaPresse) – Four matches were played this afternoon as part of the World Cup qualifiers. In Group K, already-qualified England defeated Albania 2-0, with a brace from the usual Kane. The Albanians finished second and also advance to the playoffs. In the other group match, Serbia won 2-1 against Latvia. In Group D, France beat Azerbaijan 3-1. The French, already qualified, scored through Mateta, Akliouche, and an own goal by Mahammadaliyev. Dadashov had given Azerbaijan an early lead. In the other decisive group match, Ukraine defeated Iceland 2-0 with goals from Zubkov and Gutsulyak, securing second place and a spot in the playoffs.
