Rugby, Garbisi: ‘Italy brave against Australia’

Rome, 9 Nov. (LaPresse) – The Italian men's national team made a winning start to the season, beating Australia 26-19 at the Bluenergy Stadium in Udine in the first of three Test Matches in November that will see the Azzurri compete in the Quilter Nations Series. The match was broken open by Paolo Garbisi's place kicks, which saw Australia overturn the result, but the Azzurri showed a great reaction in the second half, scoring two tries with Lynagh and Ioane to lead the team coached by Gonzalo Quesada to victory. ‘We saw a good Italy from the first minute. It was something we had set ourselves from the start,’ said Paolo Garbisi in the post-match interview after the match against Australia, ‘and we wanted to get off to a good start.’
