Milan, Nov. 5 (LaPresse) – After the gatherings in the North, South, and Center-North – held respectively on October 16 in Novarello, October 23 in Catanzaro, and October 30 in Coverciano – the Under-15 National Team will return to the field tomorrow, Thursday, November 6 (2:45 p.m.), at the Acqua Acetosa ‘Giulio Onesti’ Olympic Training Center in Rome for the regional selection of the Central area. Coach Enrico Battisti has called up 44 players, all born in 2011, including Francesco Racaniello, a defender who moved from the Apulian amateur team Wonderful Bari S. Spirito to Pescara in the summer and who participated in the latest edition of the Under-14 National Tournament ‘Il calciatore dell'Evolution Programme’ (The Evolution Programme Player), one of the flagship projects of the Youth and School Sector, which took place from May 9 to 11 at the Olympic Training Center in Tirrenia. Completing the Under-15 technical staff will be Antonio Candreva, former midfielder for Juventus, Inter, and Lazio—677 appearances and 99 goals in his career—who wore the national team jersey 54 times, scoring seven goals, and helping Italy finish third in the 2013 Confederations Cup in Brazil.
