London, Oct. 30 (LaPresse) – Surprise elimination for Liverpool in the English League Cup. The Reds lost 3-0 at Anfield against Crystal Palace, driven by Sarr’s first-half double and Pino’s late goal. Arsenal advances to the quarter-finals, beating Brighton 2-0 with goals from Nwaneri and Saka, and Manchester City also progresses, coming from behind to win 3-1 at Swansea. Franco scored first, but Doku, Marmoush, and Cherki replied. Chelsea under Maresca also moves on, winning 4-3 against Wolverhampton, while Newcastle eliminates Tottenham with a 2-0 victory thanks to goals from Schar and Woltemade.
