Turin, 29 September (LaPresse) – Lorenzo Musetti's adventure at the China Open, an ATP 500 tournament currently underway on the hard courts of Beijing, comes to an end in the quarter-finals. The Italian tennis player withdrew during the third set of his match against American Learner Tien, ranked 52nd in the ATP rankings, with the score at 3-0 in favour of the 19-year-old. Musetti, who had won the first set 6-4, suffered a muscle problem in his left leg at the start of the second set, which he then lost 6-3. After the medical time-out, the situation did not improve, and so in the third set, Musetti, ranked 9th in the ATP rankings, finally threw in the towel. In the semi-finals, Tien will face the winner of the match between Daniil Medvedev and Alexander Zverev.
