Milan, 27 September (LaPresse) – A resurgent Francesco “Pecco” Bagnaia on Ducati, after taking pole position, also dominates the sprint race in the Motul Grand Prix of Japan. Second place goes to Spaniard Marc Marquez on the other Ducati. If he scores three more points than his brother Alex (BK8 Gresini Racing MotoGP), who finished only tenth, in this Grand Prix, he will become world champion in the 17th of the 22 rounds scheduled for this year. Behind Marquez, Pedro Acosta (Red Bull KTM Factory Racing) finished third, while Joan Mir finished fourth on his Honda RC213V, racing on home turf. Franco Morbidelli finished fifth on the Team VR46 Ducati. Worth noting is the sensational crash at the start of the race involving the two Aprilias of Jorge Martin and Marco Bezzecchi, who collided with each other in the melee.
