Frankfurt (Germany), 24 September (LaPresse) – The international fan association Football Supporters Europe has strongly criticised the exclusion of Eintracht Frankfurt fans from the Champions League match in Naples and has called for consequences. "When the authorities impose a ban on away fans, as they did in Marseille (against Ajax) or Naples (against Eintracht), they are essentially saying: “We are unable to organise the match safely”. However, opening the away section is a regulatory requirement, just like the size of the pitch or the number of seats reserved for the press," Martin Endemann of Football Supporters Europe (FSE) told DPA. Fans residing in Frankfurt will not receive tickets for the match against Napoli on 4 November. The German club has already expressed its dissatisfaction with this decision and announced that it will take legal action: “The chances of success, the purpose and the objective of any legal appeals against the decree will be carefully examined”.
