Rome, 15 September (LaPresse) – "We hoped and prayed that Matteo Franzoso would pull through… unfortunately, he passed away on the eve of his 26th birthday, in a tragic accident while practising his beloved sport. In the face of such pain, no other words are needed. We can only think of redoubling our efforts to do even more to try to prevent such tragedies. Our thoughts are with Matteo's family and that of Fisi." Thus spoke Minister for Sport Andrea Abodi.
