World Athletics Championships, Fabbri wins bronze in shot put

Turin, Sept. 13 (LaPresse) – Another medal for Italy in athletics at the World Championships in Tokyo. Leonardo Fabbri won the bronze medal in the shot put with a distance of 21.94 meters. Gold, the third in a row at the World Championships, went to American legend Ryan Crouser with 22.34 meters. Surprise silver went to Mexican Uziel Munoz (21.97), who snatched it with his last attempt, pushing New Zealander Tom Walsh—who posted the same mark as Fabbri—off the podium due to a weaker second-best attempt compared to the Tuscan athlete.
