Rome, September 12 (LaPresse) – The Philadelphia Coach of the Month award for August has been given to Cremonese’s coach Davide Nicola. The trophy will be presented before the Cremonese-Parma match, scheduled for Sunday, September 21 at 3 PM at the 'Giovanni Zini' stadium in Cremona. The award was decided by a jury composed of directors of sports news outlets, who evaluated the coaches based on technical and sporting criteria, the quality of play exhibited by their teams, as well as behavior and fair play during matches. The final calculation considered the first two rounds of the Serie A Enilive 2025/2026 season. “A perfect start in the championship, bold and convincing football, and the desire to surprise again are the ingredients of Cremonese’s season start under Davide Nicola,” said Serie A Lega Calcio CEO Luigi De Siervo. “The Grigiorossi coach immediately impressed with his character, presenting a courageous team that played openly both at San Siro and at home, with grit and determination. In his eleventh Serie A season, Nicola confirms himself as a highly skilled coach, far beyond the label of ‘survival specialist’ earned through many sporting achievements in past seasons.”
