Turin, 6 September (LaPresse) – Italy reaches the final of the Women's Volleyball World Championship. The Azzurre came back to beat Brazil in a tie-break at the end of a very tough match, with Paola Egonu scoring the decisive point. The set scores were: 22-25, 25-22, 28-30, 25-22, 15-13. With this victory, Velasco's team avenged their defeat in the semi-finals of the 2022 World Cup. In the final, Italy, the reigning Olympic champions, will face Turkey, led by Daniele Santarelli, who defeated Japan 3-1 in the first semi-final.
