Rome, 1 September. (LaPresse) – The return of football with a large audience ‘is an extraordinary event, despite the fact that stadiums are often not very welcoming’. This was stated by the Minister of Sport, Andrea Abodi, on “Non stop news” on Rtl 102.5. ‘The obligation,’ he continued, ‘is to contribute to improving the venues where sport in general and football in particular are celebrated’. Abodi also commented on one of this year's new features: the VAR decision explained by the referee in an announcement broadcast over the stadium loudspeakers. ‘It is essential to make it clear,’ he stressed, ‘that we have moved from a human dimension to a technological one, and now the whole stadium must understand the choice, the decision. I believe it is important to have an audience that cannot live with doubts.’
