Milan, Aug. 31. (LaPresse) – Jannik Sinner advances to the round of 16 at the US Open, the last Grand Slam of the tennis season on the hard courts of New York. In the third round, the Italian came back to defeat Canada's Shapovalov (No. 29 ATP) in four sets: after losing the first set 5-7, he won the next three 6-4, 6-3, 6-3. The match lasted 3 hours and 14 minutes. In the next round, the Italian, ranked No. 1 in the world in the ATP rankings, will face the winner between Kazakhstan's Bublik and the United States' Paul.
