Skiing: 25-year-old Chiara Arduino dies of sudden illness, condolences from FISI

Rome, Aug. 26 (LaPresse) – “The skiing world mourns the untimely passing of Chiara Arduino, 25, from Garessio. Chiara had a great passion for sport and the mountains, starting out at a very young age as an athlete with Garessio, Sangiacomo and then the Mondolé Ski Team, before becoming a ski instructor at the Ceva Ski Club,” FISI wrote in a statement. “She was working in Valtournenche, where she was struck by a sudden illness that proved fatal. She graduated last year in Turin, and had recently resumed skiing and climbing in the mountains. The Italian Winter Sports Federation stands close to the Arduino family in this sad and painful moment,” the federation concluded.
