MotoGP, Bagnaia : « Ducati et moi sommes unis, j'étais en colère après la course en Autriche »

Turin, August 21 (LaPresse) – "As it's a new circuit, it's one of those situations where you touch the bike as little as possible and just try to adapt by doing as many laps as you can." This is how Francesco Bagnaia described his approach to the Balaton Park, where the Hungarian Grand Prix will take place this weekend. He called the track "very, very small" and questioned whether MotoGP would be able to handle it. On his current struggles, Pecco said: "What’s going on with me? Nothing. There's little to say. It’s been 7 months that I haven’t been able to find the potential or use this bike the way I want. We’re trying different directions to find a solution, but it’s not easy." He confirmed that there are ongoing discussions with Ducati "after every race weekend." Bagnaia added: "There are problems we’ve been carrying since the beginning of the season, which we still haven’t solved. We’ll keep working on it, and we know this year started with difficulties. They’re still here, but we definitely have the potential to finish as high as possible. We’ll try to take another step forward here." Regarding his comments in Austria, he admitted: "I imagined that, partly because of me, those statements would circulate. There's nothing to be done when you give interviews angrily after a race. With so many journalists asking you what’s wrong, it's tough to stay calm, and since I’m someone who says what I think, I struggle."
