Rome, 17 August (LaPresse) – ‘I've always stayed focused, I've never lost my head. I'm giving it my all and even though I'm giving it my all, I finished eighth. Everyone was overtaking me again, I couldn't accelerate out of the corners… a rather unusual situation that I hope they can explain to me.’ This was Pecco Bagnaia's comment to Dazn Espana after finishing eighth in the Austrian Grand Prix. When asked if Ducati needed to provide an explanation, the Turin native replied with a curt ‘Yes.’ At the end of the interview, Bagnaia was asked if he was losing patience: ‘Yes, quite a bit.’ And when asked what Ducati had said to him, he replied, ‘Nothing at the moment, I'm waiting.’
