Liverpool (United Kingdom), 14 August (LaPresse/AP) – Liverpool coach Arne Slot has confirmed the agreement reached with Parma for the purchase of Giovanni Leoni. ‘The clubs have reached an agreement, but he has not yet signed for us,’ Slot explained, ‘when he signs, I will be able to go into more detail.’ The Dutch coach did not want to talk about Marc Guehi, another central defender (English international) linked with the Reds. Slot was cautious about the feasibility of the deal. ‘He is the captain of the team we unfortunately lost to on Sunday evening,’ he said, referring to Crystal Palace's defeat in the Community Shield. ‘If you want to talk about him, you should go to Palace and ask (coach Oliver) Glasner for his opinion,’ he said at a press conference on the eve of the first game of the new Premier League season against Bournemouth.
