Turin, Aug 10 (LaPresse) – Liverpool star Mohamed Salah criticized UEFA on social media for honoring Suleiman al-Obeid, the "Palestinian Pelé" who passed away recently in Gaza at the age of 41, without clarifying the circumstances of his death. "Can we know how he died, where, and why?" the Egyptian forward wrote, expressing his discontent with the European football governing body. According to the Palestinian Football Federation, al-Obeid, who officially retired in 2023, was killed in an Israeli airstrike while attempting to collect humanitarian aid.
