(LaPresse) – The day after the friendly match in Cologne, Atalanta played this morning at the Bortolotti Center in Zingonia for a 75-minute test match (first half 45', second half 30') against the Croatian team Opatija, which ended in a 3-3 draw. After an early attempt from Scamacca (a diagonal shot just wide), the match opened in the 23rd minute with Kamaldeen scoring at the far post from a perfect assist by Samardzic. The visitors equalized in the 29th minute with Zibanovic. Atalanta regained the lead in the 34th minute with a great shot from Sulemana (assist by Scamacca) into the top corner. Before halftime, Opatija leveled again with Zibanovic. In the second half, Opatija took the lead with Ajayi. Atalanta responded with Kamaldeen (shot wide). In the 71st minute, Samardzic converted a penalty he had won himself for the 3-3. The final chances were from Ahanor and Samardzic (both shots just wide). The team will resume training on Tuesday morning at the Bortolotti Center in Zingonia, behind closed doors.
