Rome, 9 August (LaPresse) – Lorenzo Musetti's adventure at the Masters 100 in Cincinnati comes to an early end. Lorenzo Musetti, who was looking for consistency after a month without much to smile about, lost his opening match against France's Benjamin Bonzi (No. 63), thus exiting the tournament in the second round. The Frenchman came from behind to win in three sets with a score of 5-7, 6-4, 7-6 (4). The Italian's negative spell continues, fresh from his third-round defeat at the Masters 1000 in Toronto, as he struggles to return to the top after the adductor injury he suffered in Paris at the start of the fourth set of his match against Carlos Alcaraz. And for the Carrarese player, ranked eighth, the race to enter the top eight and qualify for the ATP Finals in Turin is becoming more complicated. Bonzi defeated Matteo Arnaldi in three sets in the first round.
