Rome, 9 August (LaPresse) – "Players need a month's holiday: I was a footballer and I understand. I'm against the direction football is taking. It all starts with the players. We need to find a balance because it's getting out of hand. There have been three weeks off, which is not a short time, but not a long time either. The players have rested without losing much from a physical point of view." These were the words of Igor Tudor, Juventus coach, in an interview with Sky Sport about the exertions of last season, which ended with the Club World Cup in the middle of summer, and how too many commitments can affect summer preparation.
