Turin, August 7 (LaPresse) – “I’m happy with what I’ve done so far and I’ll try to keep going in the same way. There are many things I still want to add to my game to perform even better during matches, but for now, the goal remains the same: to be happy and enjoy my time both on and off the court, playing in the most beautiful tournaments in the world.”
“Then, of course, in terms of on-court goals, the aim is to return to the world number one ranking by the end of the year. That will be the target for this second half of the season,” said Carlos Alcaraz, who is ready to return to action at the Cincinnati Masters 1000 after his loss in the Wimbledon final to Jannik Sinner.
“I’m really happy with how this rivalry with Jannik is growing. I think both he and I have already achieved great things that will be remembered in tennis history,” added the Spaniard. “But I’m not talking about the history we’re writing in tennis today—we still have long careers ahead of us to find out how far we’ll go and whether or not we’ll actually write that history. That’s something for people to decide.”
