Milan, Aug. 3 (LaPresse) – Italy finished fourth in the men’s 4×100 medley relay final at the World Swimming Championships in Singapore. The Italian team — Thomas Ceccon, Nicolo Martinenghi, Federico Burdisso, and Carlos D’Ambrosio — clocked a time of 3:28.72.
Gold went to Russia with a time of 3:26.93, setting a new European record. France took silver in 3:27.96, and the United States claimed bronze in 3:28.62. The Azzurri missed the podium by just one-tenth of a second.
