Milan, 2 August. (LaPresse) – Everyone was waiting for David to score, but it was Vlahovic who found the net. Juventus could not go beyond a 2-2 draw in their first test of the season, a closed-door friendly against Reggiana at the Continassa. Canadian striker Jonathan David made his debut from the start, the former Lille player moved well, providing an assist but wasting at least a couple of good chances to score. Bremer started in defence, returning after the serious injury he suffered last October that effectively ruled him out for the rest of the season. Reggiana took the lead in the 22nd minute through Girma, thanks to a mistake by Kalulu. Conceicao equalised immediately for Juventus in the 23rd minute, assisted by David. In the second half, Tudor changed ten out of eleven players, bringing on Vlahovic in attack. The Serbian striker, who is up for sale due to his contract situation, scored the goal that made it 2-1 in the 47th minute. He then hit the crossbar with a header from a corner kick. Juve's defensive problems resurfaced in the 72nd minute when Gondo headed home to equalise, catching the Bianconeri defence and goalkeeper Pinsoglio, who was culpably off his line, by surprise. After today's test, Juve will leave in the afternoon to return to the headquarters of their sponsor, adidas, in Herzogenaurach, Germany.
