Rome, 1 August. (LaPresse) – Thomas Ceccon redeems himself after being eliminated in the 200m backstroke and reaches the final in the 100m butterfly at the World Swimming Championships in Singapore. The Italian finished third in his heat with a time of 50.42, a new Italian record (beating Pietro Codia's 50.64) and enters the final with the fifth fastest time overall. Noè Ponti wins the Italian semi-final with a comeback in 50‘18, followed by Liendo in 50’24.
