Milan, 31 July (LaPresse) – "We've had 25 days of good work since we started, a good tour with some good friendlies. We performed well, we worked well and so we are happy. Now when we resume on the 5th, we have to think that the season is about to start and everything will change.‘ These were the words of Milan coach Max Allegri speaking to Milan Channel after the victory against Perth Glory in the last friendly match of the tour in Asia and Australia. ’The lads are working well, with enthusiasm and seriousness, which is the most important thing. Tonight was the last game, which is usually taken a little bit like that. Instead, they took it seriously, with good training, and it was an important evening of sport here in Australia,‘ he added. ’We always have to think one step at a time, one game at a time and one day at a time. We have to work calmly, with great balance. We mustn't get carried away when things are going well and, in difficult moments, we must be good at not getting dragged down into depression and self-pity,‘ Allegri continued, adding that ’it's more on a mental level that we need to be good at maintaining balance, knowing that the league is a 38-game cruise where we have to travel at the same speed throughout." ‘Now we need to put this first month behind us, return to Italy because we still have two friendlies in Dublin and London, then an important match in the Coppa Italia,’ Allegri concluded.
