Milan, July 30 (LaPresse) – An impressive feat by Simone Cerasuolo at the Swimming World Championships in Singapore. The Italian athlete won the gold medal in the 50-meter breaststroke with a time of 26.54 seconds. It is the first gold for Italy in swimming at these World Championships. Silver went to Russian Kirill Prigoda in 26.62 seconds, and bronze to Chinese Qin Haiyang in 26.67 seconds.
