Milan, 28 July (LaPresse) – Sixteen millimetres can be enough to make the difference between victory and defeat. That's how close Alex De Minaur came to losing the match when he saved the third match point, the last in favour of Spain's Alejandro Davidovich Fokina, before completing his comeback 5-7, 6-1, 7-6(3) and winning his tenth career title at the ATP 500 in Washington. ‘There's something special about this court. I did it in 2018 against Rublev and, honestly, I knew I could do it again,’ said the Australian, who saved four match points against Andrey Rublev that year before losing the final to Alexander Zverev.
