Milan, 28 July (LaPresse) – Luciano Darderi has withdrawn from the National Bank Open Presented by Rogers, the Masters 1000 tournament in Toronto scheduled to take place on hard court at Sobeys Stadium (prize money $9,193,540), following an injury sustained in the penultimate point of the final in Umag. Having climbed back to number 35 in the world according to the live ATP rankings, he was due to start against a qualifier, Belgium's Alexander Blockx (122), whom he had never faced before in his career.
