Milan, 28 July (LaPresse) – England beat Spain on penalties after a 1-1 draw in regular time and extra time, winning an exciting European Women's Championship final on Sunday. Chloe Kelly converted her penalty after two saves by goalkeeper Hannah Hampton, giving England a 3-1 victory. It is the second consecutive Women's European Championship final decided by a goal from Kelly. The match was tied 1-1 after extra time and 90 minutes of regulation time. England equalised in the 57th minute with a header from Alessia Russo from a cross by Chloe Kelly, after Mariona Caldentey had given Spain the lead in the 25th minute, scoring from a cross by Ona Battle.
