Rome, 27 July. (LaPresse) – Nicolò Martinenghi qualified for the final of the 100-metre breaststroke at the World Swimming Championships in Singapore in thrilling fashion. The Italian finished second at the end of the race but was subsequently disqualified, probably for a suspected dolphin kick. He was later reinstated. Ludovico Viberti also qualified.
