Milan, 23 July (LaPresse) – Roma ‘is delighted to announce the signing of Evan Ferguson from Brighton & Hove Albion. The deal is a loan with an option to buy.’ Born in Bettystown on 19 October 2004, Ferguson is the first Irish player in Roma's history. He came through the ranks at Bohemian FC before joining Brighton in the Premier League in 2021. In January 2025, he moved on loan to West Ham. He made his debut for the Irish senior national team in November 2022 and has scored four goals in 18 appearances to date. Between club and country, he has made a total of 103 appearances and scored 21 goals. Ferguson has chosen the number 11 shirt.
