Football: Atalanta, Retegui officially joins Al-Qadsiah

Rome, 21 July (LaPresse) – Italian-Argentinian striker Mateo Retegui has officially transferred from Atalanta to Al-Qadsiah on a permanent basis. The Nerazzurri club announced the news in a statement. Signed from Genoa at the beginning of August 2024, Mateo Retegui found the ideal conditions and environment at Atalanta and in Bergamo to enjoy the best season of his career, in terms of goals and more. After one year, he has decided to try a new professional experience that will see him play in the Saudi Pro League in Saudi Arabia with Al-Qadsiah, to whom Atalanta BC has permanently transferred the sporting rights of the 26-year-old Italian-Argentinian striker. ‘The Percassi family, the Pagliuca family and the entire Nerazzurri club sincerely thank Mateo for his extraordinary contribution last season and wish him all the best for the rest of his sporting career and his future,’ reads the Atalanta statement.
