Rome, July 11 (LaPresse) – "It's hard to say, but my emotions are mixed. An unforgettable, glorious, and victorious period has come to an end. What I’ve experienced makes me even happier. Remembering everything I achieved here is a great source of joy, even though it’s coming to an end. At Real Madrid, I grew both as a player and as a person. Real Madrid gave me everything in football, and I will be grateful for that for the rest of my life. I will always be a Madridista."
This is how Croatian midfielder Luka Modrić said farewell to Real Madrid in an interview with the Spanish club’s official channel.
"It’s been a long journey, but an unforgettable one. I’ve grown a lot as a player and as a person. I have another home away from home, because Madrid and Spain are like my second home. I’m very happy, and I’m sure that, over time, I’ll become even more aware of what I’ve achieved, because I’ll need time to take in all the emotions and everything I’ve accomplished here," added Modrić, who is set to join AC Milan.
