Rome, 10 July (LaPresse) – ‘We need to roll up our sleeves and start winning our matches. We have a sacred goal, all our energy is focused on achieving it, we all need to pull in the same direction. Win the matches and go to the World Cup, no ifs, no buts.’ These were the words of FIGC president Gabriele Gravina on the sidelines of the Federal Council meeting, commenting on Italy's exit from the top ten in the FIFA rankings. As for a possible change on the Italy U21 bench, he emphasised that Silvio Baldini is one of the candidates to replace current coach Carmine Nunziata. "The entire structure of the youth sector is changing, we are finalising the technical staff for all the youth teams. We started with the senior national team, then we will move on to the U21s, the U20s and the U19s. We are reorganising all the technical staff, and there are several options we are considering. I hope that by the end of the week, or at the latest early next week, we will have an official announcement of the new technical staff. And Baldini is one of the candidates," he said.
