Milan, 7 July (LaPresse) – Saudi club Al-Ahli are looking to sign Lionel Messi in December when his contract with Inter Miami expires, according to L'Equipe. It is no secret that Saudi Arabia tried to sign Messi in the summer of 2023, at the end of his contract with PSG. Two years later, the Saudi league has not given up hope, as the Argentine will be a free agent again in December. The financial details of the negotiations have not been disclosed, but Saudi Arabia, which will host the World Cup in 2034, intends to do everything possible to tip the scales in its favour. The management of Al-Ahli, winner of the Asian Champions League, has been working for several weeks to convince the eight-time Ballon d'Or winner. Inter Miami, for its part, wants to keep Messi after his first two years in MLS.
