Burnley (United Kingdom), July 5 (LaPresse) – After eight years, Kyle Walker has officially left Manchester City to join Burnley, newly promoted to the Premier League and coached by Scott Parker, his former teammate at Tottenham and in the England national team.

According to local media, the defender — who spent the last six months on loan at AC Milan — was transferred for a fee of around €5–6 million.

“When I spoke to Scott and heard about his plans for next season, I jumped at the opportunity,” said the 35-year-old, who signed a two-year contract. “He did an extraordinary job here, bringing the club back to the Premier League with a 100-point season. Now we look ahead together, aiming to thrive in the most important league in the world. I can't wait to put my experience and quality at the service of what looks to be an exciting team.”
