Gondomar, (Portugal), 4 July (LaPresse/AP) – The family and friends of Liverpool striker Diogo Jota and his brother André Silva gathered today in a church in Gondomar, Portugal, where the bodies of the young men were taken for a wake and funeral following a car accident in Spain. Some hugged and cried before entering the Capela da Ressurreiçao Sao Cosme, where the funeral of the two brothers is scheduled to take place tomorrow. Jota, 28, and André Silva, 25, were found dead near Zamora, in north-western Spain, after the Lamborghini they were driving crashed on a remote stretch of motorway shortly after midnight between Wednesday and Thursday and caught fire. Their bodies were repatriated to Portugal after being identified by their family, according to Spanish government officials.
