Rome, June 26 (LaPresse) – Since his retirement in 2022, speculation has persisted about a potential return to Formula 1 for Sebastian Vettel.
The four-time world champion might soon rejoin the sport — not as a driver, but as a possible successor to Helmut Marko, Red Bull's motorsport advisor.
Speaking to Sport am Sonntag, the former Ferrari driver confirmed ongoing talks with the team:
"We are in contact, even on this topic. Maybe not yet in a very deep or concrete way, but the first steps seem to have been taken."
Marko had already stated back in April that he sees Vettel as the ideal successor for his position. Marko’s contract with Red Bull expires at the end of 2026.
