Turin, June 18 (LaPresse) – Simone Bolelli and Andrea Vavassori continue their run in the doubles draw of the 'Terra Wortmann Open' (ATP 500 – €2,522,220), held on the grass courts of the 'OWL Arena' in Halle, Germany (Centre Court has a retractable roof). The Italian pair, second seeds and defending champions, advanced to the semifinals after a hard-fought opening win over Brazil’s Marcelo Melo and Germany’s Alexander Zverev. In the quarterfinals, they defeated Americans Nathaniel Lammons and Jackson Withrow 7–6(10), 6–2 in 1 hour and 23 minutes. On Thursday, Bolelli and Vavassori will face Canadian duo Felix Auger-Aliassime and Denis Shapovalov in the semifinal.
