Banff (Canada), June 17 (LaPresse) – The Oklahoma City Thunder defeated the Indiana Pacers at home with a score of 120-109, taking a 3-2 lead in the series. In Game 6 in Indianapolis, on the night between Thursday and Friday, they can win the title.
With the series tied 2-2 and boosted by the home crowd, the Thunder dominated the first part of Game 5 and went into halftime with a 15-point lead. Indiana, as usual, did not give up and early in the 4th quarter they came back to within 2 points, threatening to repeat their comeback win on the road from Game 1.
From that point on, however, Jalen Williams took over spectacularly with a 40-point performance, alongside the usual Shai Gilgeous-Alexander who finished with 31 points and 10 assists. The Pacers suffered from a poor performance by Tyrese Haliburton, who scored only 4 points with 0/6 shooting, limited by a calf injury.
