Milan, 10 June (LaPresse) – Spanish rider Ivan Romeo of Movistar won by a clear margin in stage 3 of the Tour de l'Ain, the 207.2 km Brioude-Charantonnay. With a surge 9 km from the finish line, Romeo finished +0.14" ahead of Colombian Harold Tejada (XDS Astana) and Frenchman Louis Barré (Intermarché-Wanty). Romeo also took the lead in the overall standings at the expense of Italian Jonathan Milan (Lidl-Trek), who finished behind after losing contact on the final climb of the day. Tomorrow is the fourth stage of the French race, a 17.4 km individual time trial between Charmes sur Rhone and Saint Peray.
