Paris, June 7 (LaPresse) – Jannik Sinner reaches the Roland Garros final for the first time in his career, at the second Grand Slam currently taking place on the clay courts of Paris. The Italian player, world number one, defeated Novak Djokovic in the semifinal in three sets, 6-4, 7-5, 7-6 (3), after a thrilling match lasting three hours and 17 minutes. An Italian had not reached the final of the men’s singles tournament at Roland Garros since 1976, the year Adriano Panatta triumphed.
