Washington (USA), 7 Jun. (LaPresse) – The Brazilian Football Confederation has announced that Davide Ancelotti has joined his father, Carlo Ancelotti, as assistant coach of the five-time world champion team. The arrival of the 35-year-old "represents another step in our quest for innovation and technical improvements. His international experience and training methodologies will be crucial for the development of players and for building an even more competitive team", writes CBF in a statement. Davide Ancelotti started his career as a coach in 2015, following in his father’s footsteps at Napoli, Everton, Bayern Munich and Real Madrid. It is expected that Davide Ancelotti will be on the bench next Tuesday, when Brazil will host third-placed Paraguay. Davide Ancelotti initially followed in his father’s footsteps as a professional footballer for Milan and then for Borgomanero, but he retired at the age of 20 to dedicate himself to management. He has a degree in Motor Science. Davide Ancelotti’s coaching career began in 2012 as an athletic trainer for Paris Saint-Germain. He held a similar role at Real Madrid from 2013 to 2015. His first position as assistant coach came to Bayern Munich in 2016 and then to the other clubs trained by his father.
